May 14 new baby BoyBig news today! My buddy Bob and his wife Sally just had a son at UHN Toronto General. Sam Loblaw weighed in at 8lbs. 5 oz. after 23 hours of labour. Bob and Sally are doing fine - but are very tired. Before nodding off to sleep - Bob sent me this cool video of Sam.
In case you wanted to drop by and visit them in the hospital - here's the link. February 23 Testing LiveWriterI just downloaded and updated all my “live” tools with “wave 3” of Live services. I thought I would take a moment and make sure they are configured to work correctly with my ID and properties. So far – it has been painless. Just did an update for the live tools and that’s about it. Rick May 24 Kelli and The Kids on the CanalI just got this cute video of Kelli and The Kids on the Canal from my Windows Mobile 6 device. Looks like they are having fun, looking at all the lovely tulips. I've been on the road for 7 days now and this little video brought me a nice smile. I think they've been at TheTulipFestival on the Ottawa Canal. I wonder how far they got this time around! April 09 Demo Competition Finals over - We made Second Place!OK - I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little down about getting second place, but you know what? The competition was a lot of fun! We had a video switching problem for the first 15 seconds (wrong screen up for the music intro which set the stage with a bit more details) but all in all we overcame some challenges and pulled off a nice demo. In true demo form - here's the Silverlight Streaming version for you to see. You can double click on the video to get full screen. I hear that a version of it will be posted on 2 public sites - On10.net and Channel 8 - way cool. Thank you to everyone who helped out and gave us support and advice throughout the process. For those of you who are interested in doing these things yourself to share your memories with your friends and family - we're putting together a short document on what Windows Live Services we are using and how to get it all to work together. Stay tuned for how to get access to it. |
